Draft Profile: Bio
Kamari Moulton won two state titles at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, setting a school record with 18 rushing touchdowns as a junior. He also ran track and flipped his commitment from FAU to Iowa.Moulton ran for 50 yards and two touchdowns in his debut against Western Michigan in 2023. He gained 473 yards in 2024, including 114 at Maryland, then started eight games in 2025 and ran for 878 yards and five touchdowns to earn honorable mention All-Big Ten.
He started all six games he played in 2026, running for 541 yards and four touchdowns. He had 183 yards and two scores on 11 carries against Northern Illinois and 208 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in the 41-24 win at Washington. A right shoulder injury at Minnesota ended his season, and Kirk Ferentz said Iowa looks forward to getting him back.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Explosive runner who gained 183 yards on 11 carries against Northern Illinois
- Made 12 defenders miss in a 208-yard game at Washington
- Patient, decisive zone runner who hits the hole hard
- Dependable pass catcher out of the backfield, with 25 catches on 29 targets over two seasons
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Right shoulder injury at Minnesota ended his 2026 season
- Production comes in bursts, with 44 yards at Michigan and 27 against Ohio State
- Limited value as a receiver beyond checkdowns and screens
- Pass protection is below average and needs technical work
- Iowa expects him back, so a return in 2027 is possible
Scouting Report: Summary
Moulton is a patient, explosive runner who can turn a game with one run. He gets to the second level quickly, makes defenders miss and showed his ceiling with 183 yards against Northern Illinois and 208 at Washington. However, his production comes in bursts, and better defenses such as Michigan and Ohio State held him in check. His receiving work is limited to short throws, his pass protection needs work, and a shoulder injury ended his season in October.
Overall, Moulton has real home-run ability, but the injury clouds his outlook. He projects as a priority free agent in 2027, though Iowa's coach has made clear he expects him back.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
