Draft Profile: Bio
Kam Davis was a four-star recruit and the 2022 Georgia Class AAA player of the year at Dougherty High School in Albany, where he played quarterback and accounted for 8,762 total yards and 75 touchdowns. He was also a baseball player and sprinter, though injuries cut his senior season to three games.Davis signed with Florida State, where he ran for 173 yards on 52 carries in nine games in 2024. He played in four games in 2025, with four carries for 51 yards and a touchdown, before entering the transfer portal.
At Liberty this season, Davis has 603 rushing yards and seven scores on 87 carries, an average of almost seven yards a carry. He had his best game at Coastal Carolina, with 166 yards on 18 carries, and followed it with 147 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries at Delaware. He is on the Doak Walker Award watch list.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Averaging almost seven yards a carry, with seven touchdowns in eight games
- Ran for 166 yards on 18 carries at Coastal Carolina
- Explosive runner who breaks tackles and has 18 forced misses this season
- Former high school quarterback with good vision and feel for space
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- James Madison held him to 51 yards on 16 carries in the opener
- Light workload, with only 87 carries in eight games
- Average speed for the position, which limits his breakaway potential
- Barely played at Florida State over two seasons
- Little evidence of his value as a receiver or pass blocker
Scouting Report: Summary
Few running backs in the country have been more efficient than Davis since his move to Liberty. He has good vision, breaks tackles and makes the most of his carries, as his 166-yard day at Coastal Carolina and 147 yards at Delaware showed. However, his workload is light, and James Madison shut him down in the opener. He hardly played at Florida State, and there is little film of him as a receiver or blocker, which limits his projection as a third-down back.
Overall, Davis is a productive, efficient runner with good burst. He projects as a priority free agent who could rise with a bigger role next year.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
