Draft Profile: Bio
Caden Durham was part of two state championship teams at Duncanville High School in Texas and was the offensive MVP of one championship game after running for 243 yards and three touchdowns. On3 ranked him the No. 8 running back in the 2024 class.Durham made the Freshman All-SEC team in 2024, running for 753 yards and six touchdowns on 140 carries with six starts. He dislocated toes on his left foot in late September of that season and played with a plate in his shoe. In 2025 he ran for 505 yards and three touchdowns, but an ankle injury kept him out of the Ole Miss game.
Durham briefly entered the portal that winter, pulling his name out on 12 January 2026. He opened the season third on the depth chart behind Dilin Jones and Stacy Gage and has had a small role, with 12 carries for 36 yards in four games, including three carries for 22 yards at Auburn.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Elite speed for a running back, one of the fastest in the class
- Freshman All-SEC selection after 753 rushing yards in 2024
- Broke 18 tackles on 111 carries in 2025
- Reliable receiver with 16 catches on 20 targets in 2025
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Third on the depth chart this season, with 12 carries
- Production has fallen in each season since his freshman year
- Dislocated toes in 2024 and an ankle injury in 2025
- Slight build for a back who has to run between the tackles
- Gave up seven pressures in pass protection in 2025
Scouting Report: Summary
Durham is a fast, elusive back who was one of the SEC's best freshmen in 2024. He is very fast, makes defenders miss and is a capable receiver. However, his production has dropped each year, and he is now third on LSU's depth chart with 12 carries this season. He is also light, he has had foot and ankle injuries, and he struggled in pass protection in 2025.
Overall, Durham has the speed teams want but needs a bigger role to rebuild his stock. He projects as a priority free agent and could be a transfer candidate.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
