Mitchell Trubisky was born on August 20, 1994, in Mentor, Ohio. He played college football at North Carolina and earned third-team All-ACC honors in 2016. The Chicago Bears traded up and took him second overall in the 2017 draft. He made his first start on October 9, 2017, against Minnesota and finished his rookie year with seven touchdown passes and seven interceptions in 12 starts. Madden NFL 18 had listed him at 77 overall for 2017.
In 2018 he threw for 3,223 yards and 24 touchdowns, and Chicago won the NFC North for the first time since 2010. On September 30, 2018, he passed for 354 yards and six touchdowns against Tampa Bay. He was named to the Pro Bowl, the first Bears quarterback selected since Jim McMahon in 1986. Madden NFL 20 rated him 75 overall for 2019.
He left Chicago with 10,609 passing yards, then backed up Josh Allen in Buffalo in 2021 at a 69 overall in Madden NFL 22. He made five starts for Pittsburgh in 2022 and two in 2023, returned to Buffalo in 2024 at a 65 overall in Madden NFL 25, and threw four touchdown passes in the 2025 season finale against the Jets. He signed with the Tennessee Titans in March 2026. Through the 2025 season he had 13,028 passing yards, 78 touchdowns and 48 interceptions.
