Teitum Tuioti was born in Laie, Hawaii, played three seasons at Lincoln Southeast High School in Nebraska and finished at Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon, where he and his brothers combined for 305 tackles and 30 sacks. His father, Tony, is Oregon's defensive line coach, and his younger brother Mana plays linebacker at Boise State. He chose Oregon over Nebraska, Kansas State and Texas Tech, among others, staying home to play for his father's program.Tuioti made 30 tackles and two sacks in 2023 and 58 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2024. He broke out in 2025, leading Oregon in sacks, tackles and tackles for loss, forcing two fumbles and making 47 run stops, and he had two sacks of Behren Morton in the 23-0 Orange Bowl win over Texas Tech in the playoff quarterfinal. Oregon's season ended with a semifinal loss to Indiana, and he announced in January 2026 that he would return for his final season.
Tuioti opened 2026 with a sack and two tackles for loss against his brother's Boise State team, and he has six sacks and 24 pressures in eight games for a 5-3 Oregon team that has won close games against Nebraska and Northwestern. He has forced a fumble and made 18 run stops. After the loss at Oklahoma State, he said one game would not define the team.

He opened with a sack and two tackles for loss against Boise State, a game that featured his younger brother on the other side, and he has forced a fumble and made 18 run stops. After the loss at Oklahoma State, he said one game would not define the team. His 18 run stops show that the run defense from his breakout season has carried over.
