Draft Profile: Bio
Coming out of Tallahassee Lincoln High School as one of Florida's most decorated defensive prospects, Wilson arrived in Athens with a track pedigree and bloodlines from his father, former NFL receiver Robert Wilson. He posted 139 tackles as a junior and 117 with 18 tackles for loss as a senior, earning All-Big Bend Defensive Player of the Year honors, an Under Armour All-America Game selection, and consensus four-star status.

At Georgia, Wilson earned SEC All-Freshman Team recognition in 2023, then recorded 47 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks across 14 games during the 2024 SEC championship run, highlighted by a 28-yard sack and forced fumble against Kentucky that brought SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Wilson started all 14 games in 2025 and finished third on the team with 74 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. He logged a career-best nine tackles in a road win at Tennessee, sacked the quarterback twice at Mississippi State, and played in both the SEC Championship against Alabama and a College Football Playoff first-round game against Ole Miss before announcing his return to Georgia for 2026.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Track speed gives him sideline-to-sideline range to chase
  • Sound tackle finish, charged with only four misses
  • Beat Mississippi State for two sacks and five run stops
  • Closes on the ball with burst, exploding through tackles
  • Holds up in coverage with the speed to carry backs
  • Started every game on a championship-level Georgia defense
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Pass-rush production is modest, with limited backfield disruption
  • Defends the run well, though the grade is good rather than elite
  • Take-on strength can be tested by climbing guards
  • More athletic than anticipatory in coverage at this stage
Scouting Report: Summary
Wilson is a rangy, fast off-ball linebacker who covers ground sideline to sideline and finishes what he reaches, missing only four tackles for a championship-level Georgia defense. He beat Mississippi State for two sacks and five stops, closes on the ball with real burst, and holds up in coverage thanks to the speed to carry backs out of the backfield. The athleticism and the tackle reliability are the foundation of a clean three-down profile.

The areas to grow are about disruption and detail. His pass-rush production is modest, his solid rather than special against the run for where he is ranked, and his take-on strength can be tested by climbing guards at the second level. His coverage is more athletic than anticipatory right now, leaning on speed rather than reads. He is a trait-rich linebacker whose production has not quite caught the tools.

He projects as a three-down starting linebacker who runs, hits, and covers, a clean athletic projection with room to grow into more production. The lack of splash plays and the developing instincts keep the grade measured, but the speed and finish are bankable. He grades as a Day 2 linebacker with starter upside, an ascending player returning for a senior year that could push the stock higher.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
