Draft Profile: Bio
Roland made program history in 2025, returning an interception 100 yards for a score against Towson, the first triple-digit pick-six by a Terrapin since 1962. A Cedar Grove product out of Ellenwood, Georgia, he played corner and receiver on a state-title team and signed with Maryland as a three-star. He worked into the secondary and flashed ball production right away.In 2025 Roland started six games and intercepted three passes with fourteen tackles, showing the hands and instincts that produced five high school interceptions. He entered the transfer portal afterward and committed to Arkansas, a long, ball-hawking cover man whose takeaway production gives him a translatable trait as he rounds out the rest of his game. The 100-yard pick-six and three interceptions flagged a ball-hawking trait, and the move to Arkansas gives a long, takeaway-creating corner a bigger stage to round out his coverage.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Ball-hawking production with three interceptions in limited snaps
- Returned a 100-yard interception for a touchdown against Towson
- Allowed one of the lowest passer ratings in the country when targeted
- Length at 74 inches to contest throws at the catch point
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Below-average timed speed limits recovery against vertical routes
- Small sample on only 376 snaps across six starts
- Washed at the point in the run game, a liability in support on the edge
- Did not break up a pass outside of his interceptions
- Smoother reading routes in zone than mirroring in man against quick releases
Scouting Report: Summary
Roland is a ball-hawking boundary corner who turned a part-time role into three interceptions, including a 100-yard pick-six against Towson, while allowing one of the lowest passer ratings in the country when targeted. At 74 inches he contests throws at the catch point, and the takeaway production in limited snaps is a loud, projectable flash. The ball skills and the length are the reasons his stock climbed late despite the small body of work. The sample and the athletic profile temper the projection. He played only 376 snaps across six starts, his below-average timed speed limits recovery against vertical routes, and his liability in run support as a force on the edge. He did not break up a pass outside of his interceptions, and his tighter in zone than when flipping to run in man against quicker releases. He is a flashes-and-ball-skills corner whose body of work is thin.
The appeal is the ball production and the length, a developmental cover corner whose takeaway instincts are worth chasing if the speed and the run support hold up at a higher level. The thin sample and the recovery speed keep the grade measured, now with a move to a new program for a bigger role. He grades on Day 3 as a developmental ball-hawk whose production has to scale with the snaps.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
