Draft Profile: Bio
Kevin Heywood was a four-star tackle and Adidas All-American in the 2024 class. He earned first-team all-state honors at Archbishop Wood as a junior before finishing at Pope John Paul II High School in Pennsylvania, and he had offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State and USC.

Heywood enrolled early at Wisconsin and played in 12 games in 2024, mostly on special teams. He was in line to start at left tackle in 2025, but he tore his ACL in spring practice in April and missed the season. Luke Fickell called the injury really difficult and tough.

Heywood was hurt again on the second day of fall camp in 2026 but was cleared days before the opener. He made his first career start at right tackle against Notre Dame at Lambeau Field and has kept the job since, going 461 snaps without allowing a sack, though he has been penalized five times.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Zero sacks allowed through 461 snaps at right tackle
  • Clean game against Western Illinois, with no pressures allowed
  • Allowed only one pressure in the road game at UCLA
  • Recruited by Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Notre Dame
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Five penalties this season, including flags at Notre Dame and Iowa
  • Notre Dame drew two pressures and a flag in his first start
  • Tore his ACL in April 2025 and missed the whole season
  • Hurt again early in fall camp in 2026
  • Only eight career starts, all of them this season
Scouting Report: Summary
Heywood is a talented young tackle who has finally gotten on the field after a torn ACL. He has been Wisconsin's right tackle all season and has yet to be beaten for a sack, with clean games against Western Illinois and USC.

However, he has committed five penalties, and Notre Dame and Iowa gave him trouble. He has only eight career starts, and he has had two injuries in two years.

Overall, Heywood is a promising tackle with upside but little experience. He projects as a priority free agent, with more seasons at Wisconsin likely before he turns pro.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
