Draft Profile: Bio
Kayin Lee from Cedar Grove High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Lee opted to join Auburn after being heavily recruited.

In 2023 as a freshman Lee saw action in 12 games and played a total of 336 snaps at cornerback for the Tigers. He recorded 17 tackles, 3 assists, while adding 5 stops. In coverage Lee notched up 5 pass breakups, no interceptions, and QB rating when targetted of 107.4.

As a sophomore in 2024 he played in just 3 games and logged 172 snaps for the Tigers. He made just 7 tackles, 3 assists, and had one stop. In coverage he totaled 2 pass breakups, one interception, and an elite QB rating when targetted of 14.6.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • A very quick and very confident cover corner plays bigger than his listed size when lined up in press coverage, delivering quick, surprisingly powerful punches and using his natural quickness and change-of-direction ability to mirror on underneath routes.
  • Has quick feet and excellent change-of-direction ability, capable of mirroring quickness underneath.
  • While he’s good early, he’s even better as the down goes on. Lee has electrifying movement skills, the quick, agile feet to mirror quickness underneath, and the good straight-line speed to flip his hips and run downfield.
  • Instinctive, adept at reading routes and anticipating throws, and strong in zone coverage.
  • He can flip his hips and run, with good top-end speed and the length to make plays on the ball.
  • Shows the click-and-close ability to backpedal and the ball skills to make plays. Lee has loose hips to go along with good top-end speed, and Lee can flip around to turn and run in coverage.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • He’ll draw plenty of flags early on with his playing style. Lee is hesitant when facing the action in zone coverage.
  • Like a lot of collegiate corners, Lee has a tendency to get grabby, something that will have to be coached out of him.
  • Feet aren’t ideal, as he gets sloppy in his backpedal and can be sluggish when transitioning to close on the ball.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
