MOCK NFL DRAFTS
Pick Team Pos Player
#1
Bears
QB
This pick has not, and will not change, barring a history-making surprise.
#2
Commanders
QB
Dan Quinn is known for running a tight ship, as it dates back to his time as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Reading through tea leaves, I think LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels has the edge here over UNC quarterback Drake Maye.
#3
Patriots
QB
Drake Maye
North Carolina
The Commanders will likely make the pick for themselves and for the Patriots, too. They will take who the Commanders do not, I believe. In this case, the Patriots land Drake Maye.
#4
Vikings

Cardinals
QB
J.J. McCarthy
Michigan
It is no surprise that Minnesota is primed and ready to move up in this year's draft, presumably for a quarterback. JJ McCarthy is the name that's been connected to them the most, and for good reason.
#5
Chargers
WR
I've heard the conversations about moving back or taking an offensive lineman here for the Chargers but I just can't stomach the thought of a Chargers team without Keenan Allen passing on a talent like Marvin Harrison Jr. It just wouldn't make sense.
#6
Giants
WR
Rome Odunze
Washington
Some will be surprised I don't have Malik Nabers here. I've been told pretty consistently throughout the process that Rome Odunze and the Giants is a marriage to watch.
#7
Titans
OT
Joe Alt
Notre Dame
After adding Calvin Ridley, I think that propels the likelihood of this pick being an offensive lineman. It would make sense to take the best one off the board first.
#8
Cardinals

Falcons
WR
With a player like Nabers being on the board at pick 8, I could see Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot shopping the pick. In this case, the Cardinals used the 11th pick that they received from Minnesota and packaged it with the 27th overall pick to move up to pick 8 to stop the slide for Malik Nabers.
#9
Bears
OT
Taliese Fuaga
Oregon State
The Bears sent a large majority of their brass to the Oregon State pro day, presumably to get eyes on Taliese Fuaga. Additionally, the Bears went out and acquired Keenan Allen from the Chargers, making wide receiver a secondary need rather than a primary. They need help on their offensive line.
#10
Jets
TE
Brock Bowers
Georgia
The Jets are expected to take a playmaker here, whether it be a guy like Odunze if he were available or in this case, Brock Bowers, who is.
#11
Falcons

Vikings
CB
Most folks would pen in Dallas Turner as the selection for the Falcons both at pick 8 and in a trade back, but my gut tells me that Quinyon Mitchell has a very high grade on Atlanta's board. With a need at CB2 and a decision regarding AJ Terrell's contract approaching, Mitchell makes a lot of sense.
#12
Broncos
LB
The Broncos could benefit from a player like Dallas Turner, who is explosive and has a high ceiling. This is the best player available.
#13
Raiders
OT
Troy Fautanu
Washington
Troy Fautanu has had a fantastic process and has likely solidified himself as a top-15 selection. The Raiders need a player like Fautanu, who has played both tackle and guard at a high level.
#14
Saints
OT
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
Penn State
This is a dream scenario for the Saints. They're likely looking to add an offensive tackle or two in the draft. Fashanu is a big player with a strong anchor.
#15
Colts
CB
The Colts would be happy to land Terrion Arnold here, a guy who is likely CB1 on some teams' board. The Alabama product is sticky in coverage and would bring immediate aid to a secondary who needs more talent.
#16
Packers

Seahawks
OT
JC Latham
Alabama
This could be my favorite move of the draft. The Packers, who have a need at tackle, trade up for JC Latham, who is from Oak Creek, Wisconsin and grew up in a family of Packers fans.
#17
Jaguars
DL
The Jaguars are likely to take the best player available here, which in many cases, at this point, is hard to identify. However, Byron Murphy II stands out to me. The Jaguars could use his versatility in their scheme.
#18
Bengals
DE
Jared Verse
Florida State
I really like this fit. Verse feels like a Bengals type of pass rusher.
#19
Rams
QB
Michael Penix Jr.
Washington
Maybe the first big surprise of the draft? I don't know... Matthew Stafford is 36. His best years are certainly behind him. I think Penix makes a ton of sense for LA.
#20
Steelers
CB
Nate Wiggins
Clemson
The Steelers tend to have a box-checking formula when it comes to selecting players in the first round. Nate Wiggins seems to check most of those boxes. They've had a pre-draft visit with him, a dinner at Pro Day with the owner and head coach present and they also had a formal meeting with him at the combine. The interest is pretty real.
#21
Dolphins
DL
After losing star defensive tackle Christian Wilkins to free agency, the Dolphins replace him with a guy who has some familiarity to the staff. Dolphins defensive line coach Austin Clark was the defensive line coach at Illinois when they were recruiting Newton.
#22
Eagles
CB
With a "need" at cornerback, Kool-Aid McKinstry makes a lot of sense. He brings the juice to a unit who is known for being relentless.
#23
Cardinals

Vikings
OT
With the guard market shoring up, Graham Barton becomes a great option for the Cardinals at pick 23. His versatility will be highly regarded.
#24
Cowboys
C
JPJ makes sense for the Cowboys, who are seeking additional help on their interior offensive line. He was dominant at Oregon.
#25
Seahawks

Packers
DE
Latu grades spectacularly analytically but has past injury concerns. His raw talent makes him a strong candidate to succeed under Mike Macdonald.
#26
Buccaneers
CB
DeJean is known for his versatility but his ability to play them all at a high level is what's important. The Bucs would be able to get tricky with Antoine Winfield and Cooper DeJean.
#27
Falcons

Cardinals
DE
Chop Robinson
Penn State
Robinson is every inch of a Falcons pass rusher in the Raheem Morris regime. He's an outside linebacker who can play multiple positions on the line. He's athletic, explosive and plays long.
#28
Bills
WR
The Bills recently traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, opening a hole at the wide receiver position. Nobody opens up the field like Xavier Worthy, who proved how fast he was at the combine.
#29
Lions
WR
Thomas would be a fantastic addition for the Lions. He would open up the field for Jamo Williams and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
#30
Ravens
OT
After trading Morgan Moses to the Jets, the Ravens now need to address the tackle position. Jordan Morgan is a perfect solution. The Arizona product is a smooth mover who can play inside and out.
#31
49ers
DL
Robinson is likely a 5-technique inside pass rusher at the next level, though he has the versatility to succeed at 3-technique as well. That's a 49ers type of player.
#32
Chiefs
WR
Keon Coleman
Florida State
Coleman is raw but certainly has all the tools. With Rashee Rice potentially falling into some legal troubles, the Chiefs find insurance in an all-around receiver.
