Blocking is half the job description for a tight end, and the blocking grade is where the in-line players separate from the big receivers. It scores run blocking at the point of attack and pass protection when he stays in, against defensive ends and outside linebackers who usually outweigh him.
Below, draft-eligible tight ends are ranked by blocking grade, with their route grades by depth, hands and overall rating for comparison.
