Draft Profile: Bio
Paki Finau was a four-star lineman at Oak Hills High School in Hesperia, California, and a first-team All-CIF Southern Section pick. He was recruited by TJ Woods, now BYU's offensive line coach, and enrolled early at Washington in 2024. 247Sports ranked him the 14th-best interior lineman in his class.Finau played in four games and redshirted in 2024, briefly entering the transfer portal after Kalen DeBoer left before returning. He then appeared in 12 games with four starts at left guard in 2025. He transferred to BYU in January 2026 to be closer to his family.
Finau has been BYU's left tackle in every game in 2026 for the 7-1 Cougars. He allowed one pressure through the first three games and gave up one in 68 snaps against Notre Dame. Kalani Sitake has said he could play any position on the line.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has allowed seven pressures in eight starts at left tackle
- Good athlete for a tackle, with the feet to handle speed rushers
- Versatile lineman who started at left guard before moving outside
- Held Notre Dame's rush to one pressure in 68 snaps
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- UCF beat him for three pressures in a double-overtime loss
- Run blocking lags behind his pass protection this season
- Gave up his only sack of the season at TCU
- Starting tape covers just eight games at left tackle
- Two years of eligibility left after this season, so he may stay
Scouting Report: Summary
Finau has made a smooth move from guard at Washington to left tackle at BYU. He has the athletic tools for the position, sets with balance and has given up seven pressures in eight starts, including a strong day against Notre Dame. However, his run blocking is behind his pass protection, and UCF found ways to beat him. His starting experience is limited to this season, and he has two more years of eligibility.
Overall, Finau has the athletic tools and versatility that offensive line coaches want. He projects as a priority free agent if he declares, and his stock could climb with more time in school.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
