- Shows a good feel for combo blocks, and Sundell displays good quickness and flexibility when moving to the second level, capable of sealing the back side on reach blocks
- Solid positional run blocker who flashes the nasty demeanor and killer instinct scouts covet.
- Above-average football smarts and general intelligence. Plays with a nasty streak. Solid character and work ethic.
- Lone concern is handling the superquick NFL edge rusher. Foot speed and quickness are very good, but not elite.
- Sundell is a work in progress with high-end physical traits. He’s extremely light on his feet for a 300-pounder, a natural knee bender who plays with balance and leverage.
- Has the natural power to move defenders at the point of attack. He also has the agility and speed to get out in front and land blocks at the second level. Sundell also shows a good understanding of angles when climbing to the second level.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Could be a liability against speed-to-power pass rushers early in his career.
- Too often is pushed back into the pocket during pass protection becaus~ Sundell bends at the waist rather than at the knees. Relies more on precise angles than physicality in the running game.
- Flashes the ability to move his man with his hands, but is not yet consistent in this area.
