Draft Profile: Bio
Nathan Roy was the top-ranked player in Wisconsin in his class, a four-star tackle from Mukwonago High School who played in the All-American Bowl and earned all-state honors. He chose Minnesota over Michigan State and UCLA, and his brother, Ben, played at UCLA and UMass.Roy redshirted in 2024, playing in two games, then started all 13 games in 2025, 12 at left tackle and one at right tackle, and was named an FWAA Freshman All-American, allowing three sacks over the season.
Now a redshirt sophomore, Roy has started every game at left tackle in 2026. He has allowed one sack and six pressures in eight games, and Mississippi State managed a single hurry against him in 69 snaps. Purdue gave him his toughest day, with three pressures, and Indiana got the one sack he has allowed. He has also been flagged once.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Has allowed six pressures in eight starts at left tackle
- Freshman All-American who has started 21 straight games
- Quick, light feet for a young tackle in pass protection
- Kept Mississippi State's rush quiet over 69 snaps
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Light for a tackle and needs to add mass
- Purdue pressured him three times in 53 snaps
- Run blocking lacks the strength to move defenders
- Indiana got a sack against him in the latest game
- Redshirt sophomore who is likely to stay in school
Scouting Report: Summary
Roy is a young, athletic left tackle who has started since his first season of action. He has quick feet, good balance in pass protection and has allowed only six pressures this season. However, he needs more weight and does not yet move defenders in the run game. Purdue and Indiana found ways to pressure him, and he has plenty of eligibility left.
Overall, Roy has the traits of a future starter, but he would benefit from more time in college. He projects as a priority free agent today, and his ceiling is much higher with time.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
