Draft Profile: Bio
Mario Craver helped Clay-Chalkville High School in Birmingham, Alabama, win Class 6A state titles in 2021 and 2023, posting more than 1,000 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior and running 10.74 in the 100 meters. A consensus four-star recruit, he played in the Under Armour All-America Game and signed with Mississippi State.Craver averaged 21.6 yards a catch as a freshman in 2024, catching 17 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns, and returned a blocked punt for a touchdown against Eastern Kentucky. He moved on to Texas A&M and broke out in 2025, catching 59 passes for 917 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games, with 575 yards after the catch. His 207-yard game at Notre Dame, including an 86-yard touchdown that was the longest play from scrimmage in program history, earned AP national player of the week, and he added 122 yards against UTSA. He was a second-team All-American by the FWAA, third-team All-SEC and a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist.
Craver was a preseason first-team All-SEC pick by the coaches in 2026. He caught touchdowns against Missouri State and Arizona State and had 11 catches for 119 yards on 19 targets against Kentucky, but he hurt his leg against LSU, played through it at Arkansas and missed The Citadel game. He has 30 catches for 286 yards and three touchdowns in seven games.

- Plays mostly in the slot, with limited outside snaps
Scouting Report: Summary
Craver is one of the fastest players in the class, a dynamic slot receiver who turns short throws into big gains. He gained 575 yards after the catch in 2025 and broke the Texas A&M record for the longest play from scrimmage with an 86-yard touchdown at Notre Dame, part of a 207-yard day that earned AP national player of the week. His quick release uncovers instantly against inside leverage, and he is dangerous on screens and designed touches. He was a second-team All-American by the FWAA and a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist in 2025.His 2026 season started well. He caught touchdowns against Missouri State and Arizona State and drew 19 targets against Kentucky, catching 11 for 119 yards, and he was a preseason first-team All-SEC pick by the coaches. His hands have also been reliable for a movement receiver, with two drops this season. He has also won three of nine contested targets this season.
However, injuries and his frame have limited him. He hurt his leg against LSU in late September, played through it at Arkansas and missed The Citadel game, and his production has dipped to under 10 yards a catch, with 286 yards in seven games. He is extremely light, physical corners and nickels can reroute him, and he plays mostly in the slot, so his outside tape is limited. He also missed a game and several starts in 2025 for reasons that were not disclosed.
Overall, Craver's speed and run-after-catch ability give an offense a weapon that few receivers can match, and a creative play caller will find ways to use him. He projects as a third-round receiver with the ceiling of a big-play slot starter if he stays healthy, and the floor of a gadget player and returner. His track speed, 10.74 in the 100 meters in high school, is the trait that will draw teams first.
Update - 11/03/2026
Craver has been listed questionable for every game since getting hurt late in the first half at LSU on 26 September. Texas A&M has not disclosed the injury. He sat out The Citadel game and has 30 catches for 286 yards and three touchdowns.

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
