Mario Craver starred at Clay-Chalkville High School in Birmingham, Alabama, where he helped lead back-to-back Alabama 6A state championships and put up over 1,000 receiving yards with 15 touchdowns as a senior. A two-sport athlete who clocked 10.74 in the 100 meters, Craver earned four-star ratings from ESPN and 247Sports and was selected for the Under Armour All-America Bowl.Craver signed with Mississippi State and flashed as a true freshman in 2024, averaging 21.6 yards per catch with 17 receptions for 368 yards and three scores across nine games. A two-touchdown debut showed the big-play ability, but his freshman year ended unevenly after missing three games to injury and a one-game team suspension.
He transferred to Texas A&M and became a key piece of the Aggies' offense alongside KC Concepcion during their 2025 College Football Playoff run. Craver finished with 59 receptions for 917 yards and four touchdowns across 12 games, highlighted by a seven-catch, 207-yard outing against Notre Dame that included an 86-yard score. He earned third-team All-SEC honors and landed on the Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list heading into 2026.

Track speed shows up on a football field in specific ways, and Mario Craver is the class's clearest example, a receiver defenses account for on every snap or risk giving up the whole field. He turned that speed into a 207-yard game against Notre Dame and 575 yards after the catch on the season, working mostly from the slot where his twitchy release uncovers him before a defender can settle.The evaluation lives and dies with size. At 165 pounds he is among the lightest receivers in the class, and it shows when press corners and physical nickels get their hands on him and knock the route off schedule. He rarely wins contested throws, took most of his snaps inside, and durability at that frame is a fair long-term question. The speed and suddenness are special, but they arrive in a small package, and durability against press physicality will define how high the ceiling climbs at the next level.
Put him in an offense that uses motion, schemes clean releases, and lets his speed work on option routes, screens and vertical clear-outs. Overall, used correctly he is a weekly explosive-play threat and a coverage-bender, and while the frame caps the projection, the rare speed and run-after-catch juice make him a starting slot with game-breaking upside.
