Draft Profile: Bio
A two-way phenom at tiny Esko, Minnesota, Perich scored 27 touchdowns as a senior and was named MVP of the All-American Bowl, signing with the Gophers as a four-star and the top recruit in the state. He made an immediate splash as a true freshman in 2024, intercepting five passes and earning FWAA Freshman All-America, first-team All-Big Ten and second-team All-America honors while doubling as a dangerous return man.
His sophomore year in 2025 was quieter as the workload grew across defense, returns and occasional offense. Perich finished with 58 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble, headlined by a game-winning defensive score in the homecoming win over Purdue, before entering the transfer portal and landing at Oregon. His five-interception freshman season made him one of the country's most decorated newcomers, and he kept a hand in the return game while flashing two-way ability on offense.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Dynamic playmaker who doubled as a returner and offensive weapon
- Snagged two interceptions off California in a single game
- His man coverage leads the profile over the slot
- Drives downhill to fill the run with twenty-one stops
- Carries rare college production with six career interceptions
- Closes downhill with burst to chase plays to the sideline
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Open-field tackling is a severe problem, with twenty-three misses on the year
- Surrendered 455 yards, with a zone coverage well below average
- Eligibility timeline points toward a later draft class
- The interception count dropped from five to one as a sophomore
Scouting Report: Summary
Perich is a dynamic athlete and college playmaker, a two-way contributor and returner whose sticks in the hip pocket in man coverage and whose career production includes six interceptions, two of them off California in a single game. He triggers downhill to fill the run with twenty-one stops, and the all-purpose dynamism and the ball-skill reputation are real, projectable traits that keep him on the radar despite a step back in 2025.The 2025 coverage and tackling tape is a real concern. His tackling is severe, with twenty-three misses, he surrendered 455 yards with a zone coverage well below average, and his eyes drift in zone to open big plays from depth. His interception total dropped from five to one, and his eligibility timeline points toward a later draft class. He is a high-upside playmaker whose down-to-down coverage and finishing regressed badly.
The wager is on the athleticism, the return value, and the ball-skill reputation, a developmental safety whose 2025 coverage and tackling have to rebound. The missed tackles, the yardage allowed, and the eligibility timeline keep the grade measured, now with a move to a new program. He grades as a traits-and-playmaking bet whose floor is a returner and whose ceiling depends on the coverage catching up to the athletic tools and the tackling cleaning up.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
