Draft Profile: Bio
Rated a five-star prospect by 247Sports and the No. 1 recruit in Arizona's 2024 class, Rushing starred at Salpointe Catholic in Tucson. He committed to hometown Arizona in July 2023, decommitted that October and signed with Oregon, citing the defensive staff of Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi in his decision.

Rushing redshirted in 2024, appearing in four games for the Ducks and recording a quarterback pressure in the win at Purdue across 24 total snaps.

In 2025 he played eight games in Oregon's defensive end rotation, totaling three tackles, two run stops and a hurry over 73 snaps, including 19 snaps in the season opener against Montana State. Both run stops came against Oklahoma State, his lone pressure came at Northwestern, and he appeared in the College Football Playoff games against James Madison and at Indiana. Rushing was not among Oregon's transfer portal entries this offseason and remains with the Ducks for 2026.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Five-star pedigree with a massive 275-pound frame and length
  • Reliable tackle finish in limited duty, missing none on the year
  • Carries the size and reach to develop as a power edge
  • Length at 78 inches gives him a high developmental ceiling
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Poor timed speed, well below the bar for edge bend
  • Almost no production, with no sacks and one pressure
  • Played just 73 snaps behind Oregon's veteran edges
  • Run-defense and pass rushs both lag at this stage
  • Game is entirely unrefined with the lost developmental reps
Scouting Report: Summary
Rushing is a traits-and-pedigree bet, a former five-star with a massive 275-pound frame and 78-inch length who has barely played behind Oregon's veteran edges. The evidence is thin: 73 snaps, no sacks, and a single pressure, with a clean tackle finish in his limited duty. The size and reach are the entire projection, the kind of raw clay a defensive-line room dreams on, but there is almost nothing on film yet to evaluate.

The limitations are the obvious ones for a player this early. His timed speed is poor, well below the bar for edge bend, his production is essentially nonexistent, and both his run-defense and pass rushs lag because the reps simply have not come. His game is unrefined across the board, and he will need a major developmental runway before the frame means anything against pro tackles. This is a projection on measurables, not tape.

What is left to bet on is the size, the length, and the recruiting pedigree, a developmental power edge who needs years of snaps and coaching to round out. He has to add functional speed and build a game from the tools up, because the production gives a staff nothing to lean on. He grades as a priority-free-agent flier on frame and upside, a long-term project worth a late stash.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
