Draft Profile: Bio
Drayk Bowen entered Notre Dame as a decorated in-state product from Andrean High School, the 2022 Indiana Mr. Football and a consensus four-star recruit who finished his prep career with 379 tackles, 54 tackles for loss, and 16 sacks.

Bowen played 12 games on special teams as a freshman, then moved into the starting lineup in 2024 and finished third on the team with 78 tackles, adding a sack and three forced fumbles, including one in the national championship game against Ohio State. He also played baseball for the Irish as a two-sport athlete.

Named a captain for 2025, Bowen started all 12 games and led Notre Dame with 67 tackles while adding 4.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and four pass breakups. He posted a career-high 14 tackles with two tackles for loss and a sack at Boston College as the Irish won their final 10 games after an 0-2 start, missed the College Football Playoff, and declined a bowl bid. Bowen announced his return to Notre Dame for 2026.

  • Logged forty-six tackles and twenty-eight run stops on the year
  • Closed Boston College with a sack, six stops, and twelve tackles
  • Blitzes with power, turning six sacks into backfield disruption

Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Tackling finish wobbles, with twelve misses on the year
  • Ordinary in coverage, more functional than fluid in space
  • Average range limits the chase outside the tackle box
  • Gives up some ground when climbing guards reach him
  • Wins with toughness more than rare athletic traits
Scouting Report: Summary
Bowen is a productive, downhill team captain who anchored a playoff defense, a tough run-defender who logged forty-six tackles and twenty-eight stops and blitzes with power. He closed Boston College with a sack, six stops, and twelve tackles, the kind of stat line that shows the downhill trigger and the motor. He turned six sacks into real backfield disruption, and the leadership and toughness come through on every snap of the tape.

The athletic profile shapes the ceiling. His tackling finish wobbles with twelve misses, his coverage is ordinary and more functional than fluid, and his average range limits the chase outside the box. He gives up some ground when climbing guards reach him, and he wins with toughness more than rare traits. He is a hard-nosed run defender whose coverage and finish need to tighten for a clean three-down role.

He fits as a downhill, run-down linebacker and core special-teamer who brings leadership and toughness, a two-down starter with developmental three-down upside. The ordinary range and coverage keep the grade measured, but the production and captain intangibles are real. He grades as a Day 3 linebacker whose floor is a rotational thumper and special-teams contributor, returning for a senior year to sharpen the coverage and the tackle finish that stand between him and an every-down role.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
