The route running is the calling card, sharp footwork and tempo that create separation without elite speed.The ceiling is capped by that speed. He runs an average timed number, does not threaten a defense vertically, and his yards after the catch stay modest, so he wins on craft and timing rather than by pulling away. His contested rate is fair rather than dominant, which puts the emphasis on the polish staying sharp against tighter NFL coverage. The three-level climb from the Ivy League to the ACC and on to Miami is the strongest evidence that his game keeps translating.
