Draft Profile: Bio
Cheta Ofili piled up 55 tackles, including 12 behind the line, and seven sacks in his final season at Sachse High School in Texas. On the track team he competed in the shot put, discus, 100 and 200, and On3 ranked him No. 140 nationally. He had offers from Arizona State, Cal, Ole Miss, Purdue, SMU and Vanderbilt before choosing Texas Tech.Ofili played one game for the Red Raiders in 2024, against West Virginia, and was recognized as a scout team standout. Over nine games in 2025, none of them starts, he logged 69 defensive snaps and recorded three pressures.
Ofili left Texas Tech on 4 January 2026, still holding three years of eligibility, and landed at TCU. He has been a reserve on the edge this fall, making two tackles, one in the 63-7 win over Grambling and one in the 24-20 loss to West Virginia. He carries a sturdy frame for the position.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Ran a forty near the top of his position group
- Sturdy frame that is heavier than most edge defenders
- Multi-event track athlete in the throws and sprints
- Seven sacks among his 55 tackles as a Sachse senior
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Only two tackles in a reserve role this season
- Played just 69 defensive snaps across nine games in 2025
- Yet to start a game at either Texas Tech or TCU
- Still searching for his first sack at the college level
- Very little game film against quality offensive tackles
Scouting Report: Summary
Ofili is a fast, well-built edge rusher whose high school production and track background stand out. He has the physical tools to develop into a pass rusher. However, his college snaps have been scarce, with 69 in 2025 and two tackles this fall. He has yet to record a college sack.
Overall, Ofili is a developmental edge rusher with good traits and little production. He projects as a priority free agent, though two seasons of eligibility remain at TCU.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
