Scouting Report: Summary

Cleveland's NFL value starts and ends with what he can do between the tackles on early downs. He plays with a low center of gravity and enough play strength to hold ground against centers and guards. On film, he consistently stacks blockers at the line of scrimmage and finds the ball carrier when he gets early hand placement. He is not going to chase anything sideline to sideline, and his pass rush ability is limited to occasional push up the middle rather than consistent pocket disruption.

The best-case scenario for Cleveland is as a two-down rotational nose tackle in an odd front that asks him to eat blocks and keep linebackers clean. A scheme that runs a 3-4 base or uses a true zero-technique would give him the most runway. He fits as a guy who comes in for 15 to 20 snaps on run-heavy packages and lets the starters rest. There is nothing flashy about his game, and the lack of pass rush upside is a real ceiling limiter at the next level.

The floor here is a practice squad player who gets a look based on measurable weight and functional strength but cannot stick because the NFL's speed exposes his lateral limitations. Cleveland will need to show his hands and anchor translate against bigger, stronger interior offensive linemen. If he can hold up in that narrow role, he has a chance to hang around a roster. If he cannot generate any pass rush value, the math gets tough for a pure run-down plugger at the back end of a defensive line rotation.
