Draft Profile: Bio
Andrew Gentry was a four-year starter at Columbine High School in Colorado, where his teams went 45-7. He won the Golden Helmet award in 2020, was a MaxPreps first-team All-American in 2019, played in the Polynesian Bowl and was the top prospect in Colorado per 247Sports. He served a church mission in Orem, Utah, speaking Spanish. His father, Todd, played basketball at BYU, and his brother, JT, is a BYU offensive lineman.Gentry played in three games for Michigan in 2022 and was part of the 2023 national championship team. He started against Illinois and Michigan State in 2024 before a Lisfranc foot injury ended his season. He transferred to BYU, started in 2025, was a team captain and was an honorable mention pick as the Big 12's top offensive newcomer, allowing one sack in 796 snaps.
Gentry was the starting right tackle and a captain again in 2026, but he hurt his ankle against Colorado State and had surgery. He has said he hopes to return by the end of the season. Offensive line coach TJ Woods called him a tough joker.

He allowed one sack in 796 snaps in 2025 and is a two-time captain.However, he has had major injuries in two of the last three seasons, including ankle surgery this fall. He has also been flagged five times in three games and is an ordinary athlete.
Overall, Gentry is a tough, experienced tackle with injury and age questions. He projects as a priority free agent.
