Draft Profile: Bio
Adon Shuler was born in Irvington, New Jersey, and played Wildcat quarterback in high school as well as defense. Rivals rated him a three-star recruit while other services had him as a four-star, and he committed to Notre Dame in August 2021 over offers that included Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State. He arrived after shoulder surgery and missed spring practice in 2023.Shuler played in five games, mainly on special teams, as a freshman in 2023. He started all 16 games in 2024, making 59 tackles, three tackles for loss and three interceptions for 94 yards, including a pick-six against Georgia Tech. As a captain in 2025 he was second on the team in tackles, with two interceptions and two forced fumbles. He made a career-high 11 tackles and two tackles for loss against USC, nine tackles and a forced fumble that led to a touchdown against Arkansas and an interception that led to a touchdown against Boston College, but Notre Dame missed the playoff.
Shuler returned for 2026 to finish his degree and play with his teammates, and he is a two-time captain. His father, Don, died suddenly in the week before the opener, and Shuler said his father had introduced him to football and was a light for people. He made seven tackles in the 41-13 win over Wisconsin, forced a fumble against Rice and intercepted a pass against Michigan State, and he has 41 tackles in eight games for a 7-1 team.
