Scouting Report: Strengths
- Jackson also proved to be a force in catch-and-run situations. A violent runner who transitions upfield quickly after the catch, Jackson has the speed to pick up chunks of yardage once he’s broken the first tackle.
- Generally reliable receiver capable of making difficult catches in traffic over the middle or one on one down the sideline.
- He tracks the ball well downfield and consistently runs under long throws.
- Very good hands, accepts the ball fluidly on most throws and is ready to make a play afterward. Makes catches in traffic, even going up over taller defenders with vertical and toughness.
- Jackson combines good speed with his size, and he accelerates off the line better than most big receivers.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Physically, Jackson profiles as a guy who should have success facing the quarterback, but he struggles to gear down and make the necessary sharp cuts to create separation underneath.
- Jackson also had problems with drops when coming back to the action. He has some issues against press coverage, sometimes spending too much time hand fighting at the line of scrimmage.
- He isn’t going to overwhelm opposing defensive backs with speed and athleticism.
- His playing speed is less than elite. Jackson won’t run past defenders like he did at the college level.
