Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall A
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA+
The Dolphins answered their biggest question with Manning. Grade: A.

Start where it matters. The Dolphins took Arch Manning to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.

They banked enough surplus on Stone to cover a lot of smaller sins. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

The Dolphins clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Arch Manning and all.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Arch Manning
In the 31st overall pick they get their guy under center for the next decade, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick53 Rnd2 David Stone
David Stone in slot 53 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick63 Rnd2 Bryant Wesco Jr.
They did well to land Bryant Wesco Jr. in pick 63, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick75 Rnd3 Adam Trick
Adam Trick at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick90 Rnd3 Kade Pieper
A straight-up fair deal on Kade Pieper at the 90th pick, value and slot in agreement. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick97 Rnd3 Rasheem Biles
Rasheem Biles at pick No. 97 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
Pick111 Rnd4 Terrance Carter Jr.
Terrance Carter Jr. at No. 111 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. It fills a real need, too.
Pick149 Rnd5 Jordan Marshall
They took Jordan Marshall at par in Round 5, Pick 11, which is nothing to complain about. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick161 Rnd5 Jayden Jackson
Steal is underselling it; Jayden Jackson at the 161st pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick227 Rnd7 Christian Gray
Circle this one: Christian Gray at the 227th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
