Draft Profile: Bio
Born in Sierra Leone as Abdul Aman Gi Bindu, Spillman was adopted by an American family after losing his father and starred at Trent Dilfer's Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, where he piled up 305 tackles and 49 tackles for loss and earned MaxPreps Junior All-America honors. He signed with Tennessee as a four-star and a top-10 linebacker. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2024, appearing in four games with six tackles.

Spillman moved into the starting lineup in 2025 after an injury to Arion Carter and led the team in tackles through much of the season, finishing with 50 tackles, three sacks, an interception and 30 run stops across thirteen games. He graded out best early against East Tennessee State and brought downhill physicality to the second level all year. The 50-tackle, three-sack season announced him as a fast-rising second-level defender after an unlikely journey to Rocky Top.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Plays the run well as a productive downhill backer
  • Logged fifty tackles and thirty run stops across the year
  • Stoned Kentucky for seven stops and fourteen tackles in one game
  • Adds blitz value with timing from the second level
  • Intercepted a pass against Oklahoma to flash some coverage upside
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Missed eleven tackles, a finish issue to clean up
  • Adequate in coverage rather than fluid in space
  • Gets reached by climbing guards at the second level
  • Average burst limits the chase to the perimeter
  • Class timing is worth confirming for draft eligibility
Scouting Report: Summary
Spillman is a productive downhill linebacker whose anchors against the run, an ascending player who logged fifty tackles and thirty stops and stoned Kentucky for seven stops and fourteen tackles. He blitzes with timing to add pass-rush value and intercepted a pass against Oklahoma to flash coverage upside. He led the SEC's freshmen in tackles in his breakout, and the production against quality competition is the reason he is on the radar.

The cleanup areas are clear. He missed eleven tackles, a finish issue, his functional rather than fluid in coverage in space, and his take-on strength can be tested by climbing guards. His average burst limits the chase to the perimeter, and his exact class timing is worth confirming for draft eligibility. He is a downhill producer whose coverage and finishing details need work to round out the projection.

He lines up as a downhill, run-down linebacker with blitz value and developmental coverage upside, a two-down starter with three-down potential as the space reps improve. The finishing and the ordinary range keep the grade measured, but the production and the trajectory are real. He grades as a Day 3 linebacker with starter upside, an ascending player returning to build on a productive start, with the finishing and the coverage the clear keys to a larger role.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
