From a football family and the brother of quarterback Max Johnson, Jake began at Texas A&M, spent two seasons at North Carolina, and transferred to Auburn for 2026, where he ran with the first-team offense in the spring and projects as the starting tight end.His production has stayed modest across stops, career totals of 43 catches, 402 yards and five touchdowns, with 16 grabs at UNC in 2025.
At 6-6 and 240 pounds he is a big, polished pass-catcher whose frame and route feel are ahead of his output and his blocking.
