Draft Profile: Bio
A three-star out of Colerain High in Cincinnati, Myrick began his career at Marshall, where he barely played as a freshman in 2024, appearing in eight games with three tackles.

The transfer to Southern Miss changed everything. As a sophomore in 2025 he started in the secondary and broke out with 91 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, two interceptions and a forced fumble, grading among the better Group of Five safeties in the country.

He closed the year with his best game against Western Kentucky, forcing a fumble and picking off a pass, then drew interest as a coveted portal addition and committed to Clemson. The production traveled from a quiet freshman year to a full-blown breakout in a single season. Pro Football Focus graded him among the top fifteen safeties in the country, and the 91 tackles ranked among the Sun Belt's best.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Blankets receivers, allowing little after the catch in the deep field
  • Good timed speed and length at 75 inches for the back end
  • Posted eighty-four tackles across deep and box alignments
  • Snagged an interception at Arkansas State while patrolling deep
  • Diagnoses route concepts and drives on throws from depth
  • Allowed minimal production on a heavy coverage snap count
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Missed eleven tackles, a finish detail to clean up
  • Production came at the Sun Belt level rather than power competition
  • Man-cover technique trails the zone work against quicker targets
  • Run-support force is solid rather than physical for the size
Scouting Report: Summary
Myrick is a rangy, productive safety whose high coverage and low yardage allowed jump off the tape, a 75-inch defender with good speed who patrolled the deep field and posted eighty-four tackles for Southern Miss. He reads route concepts, drives on throws, took an interception at Arkansas State, and surrendered minimal production on a heavy coverage snap count. The range, the length, and the coverage efficiency give him a projectable free-safety identity.

The context and the finish are the holdups. His production came at the Sun Belt level rather than against power competition, he missed eleven tackles, and his smoother reading routes in zone than mirroring in man against quicker targets. His run-support force is solid rather than physical for the size. He is a coverage-first safety whose tape has to prove it travels against bigger, faster competition, with the finishing tightened up.

Slot him as a developmental starting free safety who covers the deep middle and reads the quarterback, a Day 3 contributor now headed to a power-conference program. The competition level and the tackle misses keep the grade measured, but the coverage efficiency and the length are bankable. He grades as a rangy back-end defender whose stock could climb against tougher competition. The coverage efficiency is the calling card, the finishing the fix.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
