Draft Profile: Bio
Coleton Price played on both lines at Bowie High School in Texas, where he was named District 4-3A Outstanding Lineman in 2020. Rated a three-star prospect, he signed with Baylor in December 2021 with plans to study criminal justice. After a redshirt year, Price started the final six games of 2023 at center and then started all 13 games in 2024, leading the team with 935 snaps. He started 11 games in 2025 while dealing with injuries, missing the Samford game, and allowed one sack all season. He was also on the Rimington Trophy watch list.
Price entered the transfer portal in January 2026 and moved to Kentucky for 2026, his last year of eligibility, earning a second straight Rimington watch list spot. He has been the starting center in every game for the 7-1 Wildcats without allowing a sack, giving up one pressure in 81 snaps at South Carolina.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Zero sacks allowed this season, with four pressures given up in eight games
- Experienced starter with more than 35 career starts at center across two programs
- Pass protection is his strength, with quick hands and a sound anchor against nose tackles
- Moved defenders at the point in his best run-blocking game, against South Alabama
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Penalties have been an issue, with nine holding calls at Baylor in 2025
- Run blocking is average and he struggles to sustain blocks at the second level
- LSU and Oklahoma generated pressure on him, the two toughest fronts he has faced
- Average athlete who can be slow to reach shaded nose tackles on outside zone
- Dealt with injuries throughout 2025 and missed the Samford game
Scouting Report: Summary
Price is a steady, experienced center who has fit in quickly at Kentucky. He is reliable in pass protection, uses his hands well against nose tackles and has kept a clean sheet on sacks this season, which has helped the Wildcats to a 7-1 start. However, he is an average mover, and his run blocking does not create much push. Holding calls were a problem at Baylor, with nine in 2025, and he dealt with injuries that season. LSU and Oklahoma gave him more trouble than most.
Overall, Price is a smart, dependable interior lineman with plenty of starting experience. He projects as a priority free agent who could stick as a backup center thanks to his pass-blocking consistency.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
