Draft Profile: Bio
Bram Walden from Saguaro High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Walden opted to join Oregon.

In 2022 as a freshman Walden saw action in just 2 games and played a total of 8 snaps for the Ducks. He allowed no QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing sparingly.

After the season Walden transferred to Arizona State where as a sophomore for the Sun Devils in 2023 Walden he played in 6 games and a total of 383 snaps. He conceded 4 QB hurries, one QB hit, and one sack while playing at left tackle.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Shows excellent awareness against twists and stunts, and Walden has the strong, flexible core and wide base to catch and handle moving defenders.
  • Coordinated when moving to the second level as a run blocker, capable of landing blocks on the move.
  • Walden will have a chance to develop as a right tackle or possibly inside at guard, where he could be an interesting prospect for a zone-blocking team. If nothing else, that versatility is enough to make him at least a quality reserve.
  • Takes much more pride in the run game, where he plays through the whistle with tremendous physicality.
  • Quick out of his stance with the footwork to be effective in front of screens. Willing to get out in front of ballcarriers to take out defensive backs and linebackers.
  • Good natural athleticism, knee bend and fluid lateral movement to mirror college defensive ends.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Needs to work on his technique in pass protection, using more consistent leverage and continuing to move his feet.
  • As a pass protector, Walden gets caught reaching and lunging when matched up against quickness.
  • Had issues against quality counter moves, struggling to readjust. That’s something he’ll see frequently against NFL technicians in the pass rush.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
