Scouting Report: Strengths
- The physical traits make him a left tackle candidate; Freeling effectively uses his long arms and packs a good amount of power in his initial punch.
- Tall with long arms, he has exceptional length and is a violent, aggressive, and precise puncher who can redirect pass rushers.
- Is effective when asked to pull, showing the agility, speed, and overall range to get out as a lead blocker, where he locates defenders and shows the ability to adjust and land blocks against linebackers.
- As a pass protector, he plays with good balance and holds up against the bull rush. Freeling has strong hands and does a nice job gripping and latching on once he has his hands on the pass rusher.
- Freeling has long arms that allow him to survive as a pass protector on the edge, and he typically plays with good balance.
- Finds defenders with his hands immediately and gets feet moving to engage and sustain.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- His hands aren’t violent enough to stand pass rushers up early in the down, and Freeling generally plays with poor balance.
- Sometimes he simply gets too impatient to sit back in his set, reaching and lunging and generally playing with poor balance.
- Had issues against quality counter moves, struggling to readjust. That’s something he’ll see frequently against NFL technicians in the pass rush.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
