Trinidad Chambliss grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he was a multi-sport standout at Forest Hills Northern High School. He earned AP all-state recognition as a senior after throwing for 1,610 yards and 17 touchdowns, but Division I programs never came calling, and he landed at Division II Ferris State.Chambliss redshirted in 2021, missed 2022 due to medical issues, and made eight appearances with one start in 2023. As the 2024 starter he threw for 2,925 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 1,019 yards and 25 scores, leading the Bulldogs past Valdosta State 49-14 in the Division II national championship. He won the Harlon Hill Trophy as Division II's best player, earned GLIAC Player of the Year honors, and was named first-team All-American by the AP and AFCA.
Chambliss transferred to Ole Miss in spring 2025 and took over in Week 3 when Austin Simmons went down against Kentucky. He threw for 3,937 yards and 22 touchdowns against three interceptions across 15 games, adding 527 rushing yards and eight scores, earning SEC Newcomer of the Year and All-SEC Second Team honors as the Rebels reached the College Football Playoff semifinals. The NCAA denied his bid for a sixth year of eligibility in February 2026.

He projects as a developmental starter, with the ceiling of a low-end starter and the floor of a backup.
