Draft Profile: Bio
Que'Sean Brown piled up 3,183 all-purpose yards at East Forsyth High School in North Carolina and was a three-star recruit, picking Duke from about a dozen offers in the 2023 class. He caught two passes in his first season, then became a regular in 2024 with 41 catches for 445 yards and earned honorable mention All-ACC. He was even better in 2025 as Duke won the ACC title, catching 64 passes for 846 yards and five touchdowns, adding a punt return score and finishing with 10 catches for 178 yards and two touchdowns in the Sun Bowl against Arizona State.
Brown transferred to Virginia Tech in January 2026 and opened the season on the Biletnikoff Award watch list. In eight games he has 51 catches for 685 yards and three touchdowns. Against Georgia Tech on 17 October he caught six passes for a career-high 182 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown on the opening drive.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Rare acceleration after the catch, with nearly four of every five receiving yards coming after it
- Six catches for 182 yards against Georgia Tech showed big-play range from the slot
- Quick feet in and out of breaks create easy separation on option routes
- Brings return value, including a punt return touchdown at Duke in 2025
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Very small frame, and physical coverage slowed him at Maryland, where he managed 23 yards
- Small catch radius gives quarterbacks little margin on off-target throws
- Short average target depth means his work on vertical routes is a small sample
- Three drops this season after just one in 2025 is a step backwards
- As a redshirt junior he could return to school for 2027 rather than enter the draft
Scouting Report: Summary
Brown is a sudden slot receiver who turns short throws into long gains. His acceleration is rare, he runs away from pursuit angles, and nearly four of every five receiving yards he has this season came after the catch, as the Georgia Tech game showed. However, his size is a real limitation. Physical corners can knock his routes off course, his catch radius is small, and much of his production comes from manufactured touches near the line. His hands have also slipped a little this year.
Overall, the speed to scare a defense and his return experience give Brown a path to a roster. He projects as a seventh-round slot and return specialist whose ceiling depends on how he handles press coverage.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
