Scouting Report: Summary

Every cycle hides one of these in the Group of Five. Clarke is a London product still new to the sport who put together the most efficient tight end season in the American: thirty catches on forty-two targets, 483 yards, six scores, one drop, six of nine contested balls won, and a single pressure allowed across a real inline blocking load. The traits underneath are the story, elite timed speed at 265 pounds with the frame to stay attached to a tackle's hip and the hands to finish through contact.

The asterisks are about the company he kept. The league he ruled is several levels from Sunday, the route tree Temple asked of him is a starter kit, and there is exactly one season of starting production in the file. Power Four programs threw portal money at him in December and he stayed an Owl, an admirable decision that nonetheless means the level-of-competition question survives into next season untested.

Scouts were already telling him he would have been among the first tight ends taken, and the formula here is familiar: rare traits, clean production, raw football age, and a senior year to prove the polish.
