Draft Profile: Bio
Max Granville recorded 32.5 sacks in his career at Fort Bend Christian Academy in Texas, won a TAPPS Division II title in 2022 and earned first-team all-state honors in 2022 and 2023. He also competed in basketball and on the track. A four-star prospect with offers from Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and USC, he reclassified from the 2025 class to 2024 and enrolled at Penn State in the summer of 2024.

Granville played in seven games in 2024 as a redshirt, making one tackle and two pressures. An injury suffered while working out at home then cost him all of 2025.

Granville broke up a pass against Marshall in the 2026 opener, but Penn State announced on 12 September that he had suffered a season-ending injury in practice. Head coach Matt Campbell said he would come back better than ever.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Blazing forty, among the very fastest of any edge prospect
  • Had 32.5 sacks in his high school career
  • Reclassified to arrive at Penn State a full year early
  • Broke up a pass against Marshall before his injury
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Suffered a season-ending injury in practice in September
  • Lost all of 2025 to an injury suffered at home
  • Extremely light frame for an edge defender who must hold up against runs
  • Credited with one tackle across three college seasons
  • Has played only about 50 defensive snaps in college
Scouting Report: Summary
Granville is an exceptionally fast edge rusher who piled up sacks in high school and reached college a year early. Few prospects in the class can match his speed.

However, injuries have wiped out most of his career, including all of 2025 and almost all of 2026. He is very light and has one college tackle.

Overall, Granville is a high-upside athlete with major durability questions. He projects as a priority free agent, but a return to Penn State appears far more likely.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
