Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Lacy gets off the line with a nice burst and is very fluid in his movements with little wasted steps in his routes.
  • Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
  • Fluid athlete with explosive burst and speed to stretch the field and breeze past defenders. Has a quick first step and gets to top speed in a hurry.
  • Does a nice job locating and tracking deep passes and is a legitimate vertical threat. Willing to go up and attack the ball.
  • Does not have exceptional straight-line speed but takes advantage of open seams when his quarterback is on target.
  • Has elite speed and cutting ability and good hands and toughness. Lacks the ideal size, but has a similar body type to Antonio Brown.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Has only average height and overall length. Lacks initial burst off the line of scrimmage and has more build-up speed than track wheels. Limited explosiveness and flexibility and will struggle to separate against pro defensive backs
  • Because of that small frame, Lacy won’t be for everyone; many teams still want their No. 1 receiver to be 6'2" or taller.
  • His ability to track the ball is good enough, but he too often let the ball get into his body downfield rather than snatching it with his hands.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
