Scouting Report: Summary

Green is a pure pass-rush specialist who won as a rusher as well as anyone in this group, a long, bendy edge who wins the corner with speed and flattens to the quarterback. He generated thirty-eight pressures despite a part-time snap count, including a seven-pressure game against Boston College, and he flashed playmaking with a forced fumble and a scoop-and-score. The bend and the closing burst are genuine traits, and they are why the pass rush jumps off the page.

Everything else is a work in progress. At 250 pounds he cannot anchor against the run, the snap count stayed limited so the sample is thin, and the run-defense value is minimal right now. When tackles ride his speed rush upfield, he lacks the power counter to convert, and his tackle production outside of pass-rush wins is modest. He is a designated rusher who has to be protected from early-down run duty until the body develops.

The pro fit is a sub-package speed rusher who can win on third down while he adds weight and a power element to his game. The ceiling is real because the bend and burst are hard to teach, but the frame and the one-dimensional profile cap the grade for now.
