Solomon Tuliaupupu from Mater Dei High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Tuliaupupu joined USC after being heavily recruited.In 2022 as a freshman Tuliaupupu saw action in 13 games and played a total of 164 snaps for the Trojans. He recorded only 3 tackles, 3 assists, while adding 3 stops. As a pass rusher, he added 9 total pressures, which included 5 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 2 sacks on the season.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- Tuliaupupu explodes off the line with a quick first step, with agile feet to counter inside and closing burst to finish plays.
- He has an excellent feel for working off blockers and knowing how and when to counter as the play goes on.
- He’s explosive off the line of scrimmage, showing the quickness that sets blockers back on their heels.
- He has decent enough flexibility to bend the edge, and Tuliaupupu shows a good closing burst.
- Flashes nimble feet to chase running backs and mobile quarterbacks to the sideline when lined up at end. Spins off blocks to get back into the play.
- Tuliaupupu has an excellent motor and shows the stamina to last deep into the fourth quarter.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Plays too high when trying to set the edge. His motor is inconsistent.
- Tuliaupupu remains a bit raw, as Tuliaupupu is inconsistent with his hand use and lacks violence in his hands
- Tuliaupupu struggles to disengage once blockers get into his chest, and while he can move he’s too often caught up in the wash when working his way down the line.
