Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Good instincts and anticipation reads and reacts with discipline. Dangerous with the ball in his hands.
  • He’s physical at the line of scrimmage, showing unexpected power in his hands.
  • Does a good job getting his head around in time when playing with his back to the line of scrimmage. Has the ability to cover quickness underneath.
  • Shows good instincts when facing the action in zone coverage, and DeLoach has solid ball skills.
  • His ball skills are very good. DeLoach tracks the ball well downfield and has the hands and coordination to come away with interceptions even when he isn’t targeted often.
  • Has very good length and is a fluid mover in the middle of the field. DeLoach plays with a linebacker’s mentality, attacking downfield and delivering violent hits on ball carriers.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • He’s a little bit tight and straight-line-ish as an athlete, and DeLoach struggles when he has to mirror quickness.
  • Not an explosive player and needs to show better bend and flexibility in his drops - plays too high.
  • Isn’t great in route recognition when he’s facing the action, is hesitant and susceptible to double moves, and too often gets unnecessarily handsy when playing trail position

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
