After high school, Copeland opted to join Florida. In 2018 as a freshman Copeland saw action in just 3 games for the Gators as he made one reception for just 16 yards for an average of 16.0 yards per reception, with no TDs, and QB rating when targeted of 77.1.
As a sophomore in 2019 he played 13 games and had 21 catches for 273 yards for an average of 13.0 yards per catch, with 2 TDs, and an excellent QB rating when targeted of 100.8.
As a junior in 2020 he played 11 games and hauled in 23 catches for 435 yards for an average of 18.9 yards per catch, with 3 TDs, and an excellent QB rating when targeted of 120.3.
As a senior in 2021 he played 13 games and had 41 catches for 642 yards for an average of 15.7 yards per catch, 4 TDs, and an excellent QB rating when targeted of 106.7.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- Copeland has quick feet and good body control, allowing him to gear down and quickly get in and out of cuts. His hands are good, and he’s a creative runner after the catch with the elusiveness to slip tackles in space.
- Plays fast and confident. Covers a lot of ground in the short half of the field and is slippery after the catch.
- He has reliable hands and shows the willingness to make catches in traffic over the middle.
- Has the strong hands any NFL wide receiver coach and quarterback would covet. Tracks the deep ball over either shoulder and brings in passes fluidly without breaking stride downfield.
- He also has value as a catch-and-run threat, running hard and consistently picking up yards after the catch.
- Copeland is a natural playmaker, at his best with the ball in his hands.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Copeland lacks the twitch to create consistent separation, and despite his size and ability to track the ball downfield, Copeland isn’t great on contested catches.
- He’s not going to threaten to take the top off of a defense.
- Does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
