Draft Profile: Bio
Henry Parrish Jr., born March 1, 2001, hails from Columbus High School in Florida where he was a standout rusher. As a senior, he amassed 2,319 yards and 28 touchdowns, earning the Nat Moore Trophy as South Florida's top football player. Parrish began his collegiate career at Ole Miss in 2020, playing all 10 games as a true freshman. He then transferred to Miami for the 2022 and 2023 seasons, leading the Hurricanes in rushing both years.

At Miami, Parrish compiled 1,241 yards and 10 touchdowns on 230 carries over two seasons, earning third-team All-ACC honors in 2022. His collegiate journey saw him play 45 games, showcasing durability and consistent production. Parrish's versatility was evident in his receiving abilities, notably catching 21 passes for 173 yards in his sophomore season at Ole Miss.

For his final collegiate season in 2024, Parrish returned to Ole Miss, aiming to further develop his skills and NFL draft stock. Throughout his college career, he demonstrated adaptability by successfully transitioning between different offensive systems at Ole Miss and Miami.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Possesses plus vision and patience, allowing blocks to develop before hitting the hole
  • Demonstrates good wiggle and shake in the open field, making would-be tacklers miss
  • Soft hands out of the backfield, providing a reliable check-down option
  • Exhibits above-average burst when hitting the hole, able to quickly get to the second level of the defense
  • Shows good balance through contact, often able to stay on his feet and gain extra yardage after initial contact
  • Demonstrates versatility with experience in multiple offensive systems, adapting well to both Ole Miss and Miami's schemes
  • Possesses a high football IQ, showing good decision-making in both the run and pass game
  • Has proven durability, playing in 45 games over his college career without significant injury concerns
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Lacks ideal size for an every-down back in the NFL, which may limit his ability to handle a full workload at the next level
  • Struggles in pass protection, grading poorly in this area and potentially limiting his third-down value in the pros
  • Does not possess elite top-end speed, which may hinder his ability to break long runs consistently against NFL-caliber defenders
  • Has some ball security concerns, needing to improve his technique to avoid fumbles at the next level
  • May struggle to create yards on his own when holes aren't there, lacking the power to consistently break tackles against NFL competition
Scouting Report: Summary
Parrish's toolkit suggests potential as a complementary back in a committee approach at the next level. His vision, lateral agility, and receiving chops out of the backfield could make him a valuable situational player. However, his frame limitations and pass protection deficiencies may hinder his ability to secure an every-down role in the NFL.

In the right system, Parrish could carve out a niche as a third-down specialist or change-of-pace option. His experience in multiple offensive schemes bodes well for his ability to pick up NFL playbooks quickly. Teams employing spread concepts that heavily involve running backs in the passing game may find Parrish particularly intriguing.

While Parrish has shown flashes of playmaking ability, his ceiling at the next level appears capped by his physical limitations. His success will largely depend on landing with a team that can scheme to his strengths while minimizing his exposure in unfavorable situations. With development, particularly in pass protection and ball security, Parrish could evolve into a reliable rotational piece in an NFL backfield.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
