Scouting Report: Strengths
- A versatile weapon, proving to be effective inside in the slot and outside on the perimeter. Makes plays at all levels of the field.
- Colzie fights his way off the line of scrimmage against press coverage, showing quick, violent hands and good balance.
- He’s a precise route runner, creating separation when used on quick outs and stop patterns in college. He has good stop-start ability and lateral agility.
- A long-striding athlete with good playing speed. Usually sure-handed with the concentration to snatch the ball out of the air.
- Generally reliable receiver capable of making difficult catches in traffic over the middle or one on one down the sideline.
- Thriving on physicality, he’s a contested-catch specialist with a knack for warding off defenders while the ball is in the air. Colzie has strong hands and the ability to wrestle the ball away from defenders.
- Has enough upper-body strength and tenacity to be very effective as a downfield blocker. Is not shy about taking on his man, provides some pop and will open a running lane for his back at the next level.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’ll be coming to the NFL from a wide-open spread offense in which Colzie ran a limited route tree.
- Colzie isn’t going to overwhelm opposing defensive backs with speed and athleticism.
- His ability to track the ball is good enough, but he too often let the ball get into his body downfield rather than snatching it with his hands.
