Following high school, Dankwah opted to join Howard.In 2019 as a freshman Dankwah saw action in just 3 games and played a total of 147 snaps for the Bison. He allowed 4 QB hurries, no QB hits, and 3 sacks while playing most of his snaps at right tackle.
As a sophomore in 2020 he played in just 2 games and a total of 81 snaps. He conceded just one QB hurry, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing at left guard.
In 2021 as a junior Dankwah saw action in 11 games and totaled 653 snaps. He gave up 13 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 4 sacks while playing at left tackle.

- With rare size and excellent movement skills considering how massive Dankwah is, he has some appealing traits.
- Has the functional strength to hold up against the bull rush, and he shows exceptionally quick and precise hands.
- Consistently keeps his feet sliding while maintaining power when dealing with speed, often sending speed rushers flying past the pocket
- Awareness is above-average for his limited experience. Sells trap block and can turn to seal. Fluid getting to and adjust at the second level.
- Tall with long arms, he has exceptional length and is a violent, aggressive, and precise puncher who can redirect pass rushers.
- Has the feet to adjust when he anticipates what's coming. Effective trapping and bends at the knees with adequate core strength to absorb the bull rush. Can clear a path at the second level if he hits the target.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- A short-area blocker with limited range and doesn't consistently get to the second level. Will play undisciplined at times, especially in space. Lacks a finishing attitude.
- Height can be a detriment in short-yardage, defender can get under his pads to hold the line.
- As a run blocker, he’s quick off the line but often comes up too high; Dankwah struggles to generate movement at the point of attack.
