After high school, Adebawore joined Oklahoma after being heavily recruited.In 2023 as a freshman Adebawore saw action in 13 games and played a total of 184 snaps for the Sooners. He recorded just 2 tackles, 4 assists, while adding 3 stops. As a pass rusher, he added 13 total pressures, which included 9 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 2 sacks on the season.
As a sophomore for the Sooners in 2024 Adebawore played in 3 games and took part in 36 snaps for the Sooners. He recorded no tackles, no assists, while adding no stops.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- Showed initial quickness and good flexibility to dip and bend. Adebawore has active hands and suddenness to his movements, demonstrating the ability to counter inside.
- His long limbs and strong core strength allow him to power through blockers, and Adebawore has the flexibility to loop inside and get home on twists.
- Plays with leverage at the point of attack whether inside or outside. Keeps eyes in the backfield when inside; moves linemen to either side with strong hands.
- His handwork is excellent. He is tough against the run, playing with a firm base when setting the edge and showing the upper-body strength to stack and shed blockers.
- Adebawore is strong enough in the lower body to hold up at the point of attack, and he displays a good feel as a grappler in the phone booth, consistently getting blockers off-balance before sending them to the ground.
- Flashes strength at the point of attack with active, violent hand use. Forceful with his upper body to defeat blocks. Strong hustle player.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Adebawore lacks the speed of a chase and- tackle guy. He lacks twitch as a pass rusher and lacks the feet and flexibility to threaten around the edge.
- Because he’s a bit stiff as an athlete, a transition to 3-4 OLB might be a stretch.
- Adebawore has to develop a counter move or two in the pass rush, and Adebawore needs to make better use of his hands.
