Draft Profile: Bio
The Pike Road, Alabama native arrived at Ole Miss as an unheralded three-star recruit and promptly rewrote the record books. In his freshman campaign, Judkins exploded for 1,567 yards - the second-best rushing season by a freshman in SEC history behind only Herschel Walker's legendary 1980 debut. His bruising style and deceptive finesse carried him to eight 100-yard games, shattering school records for rushing touchdowns and attempts.

The 6'0", 219-pound back followed up with another stellar season in Oxford, piling up 1,158 yards and a conference-leading 15 touchdowns while starting all 13 games. His consistent dominance earned him first-team All-SEC honors for the second straight year, cementing his status among the conference's elite. When he entered the transfer portal after 2023, powerhouse programs came calling.

Landing at Ohio State for his junior season, Judkins showcased his adaptability in a new offense. Despite sharing carries with TreVeyon Henderson, he maintained his touchdown prowess with 14 scores while averaging 5.5 yards per carry. His punishing performances in the College Football Playoff, including a 100-yard outburst against Notre Dame, highlighted his ability to deliver in the biggest moments.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Masterful contact balance lets him bounce off initial hits while maintaining forward momentum - routinely turns sure tackles into chunk gains by keeping his feet under him
  • Processes defensive flow at full speed, showing uncanny ability to identify cutback lanes and adjust his path without gearing down through the hole
  • Devastating stiff arm technique becomes more effective as games progress - defenders increasingly try to dive at his legs rather than challenge him up high
  • Exceptional vision when working behind zone blocks - consistently finds the right mesh point timing and shows patience without becoming hesitant
  • Thrives in short-yardage situations by getting skinny through tight gaps and keeping his legs driving through contact for crucial conversions
  • Natural hands catcher who doesn't need to break stride on swing passes - showed improved route-running depth and timing throughout 2024 season
  • Runs behind his pads with ideal pad level and forward lean - defenders rarely get clean shots on his frame in the hole
  • Elite ball security fundamentals with just three fumbles in 800 touches - keeps tight elbow lock and adjusts ball position based on defender angles
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Top-end speed limitations show up in space - was caught from behind multiple times on potential home run plays during conference games
  • Hip tightness restricts ability to stack multiple cuts - needs extra steps to redirect when initial hole isn't there
  • Pass protection technique remains inconsistent - tends to drop his head and lunge rather than maintaining leverage against blitzers
  • Production dipped noticeably against better competition - averaged under 4.0 yards per carry in five Big Ten matchups last season
  • Can be overly patient at times, leading to negative plays - needs to hit designated hole with more decisiveness when initial read isn't there
Scouting Report: Summary
Judkins projects as an immediate impact player in a gap-heavy run scheme where his vision and power running style will shine. His ability to create through contact while maintaining balance sets him apart from many prospects. The tape shows a back who gets stronger as games progress, wearing down defenders with his relentless physicality.

While he may not have the breakaway speed of some backs in this class, his consistency and three-down potential make him a valuable commodity. His performance across two different offensive systems demonstrates scheme versatility, and his improved receiving skills hint at untapped potential in the passing game.

Teams running downhill schemes will particularly covet Judkins' ability to press the line and make decisive cuts. Expect him to begin his career splitting carries before growing into a featured role - his running style and frame suggest he can handle a heavy workload at the next level.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
