Draft Profile: Bio

After high school, Heath opted to join Mississippi State. In 2020 as a freshman Heath saw action in 10 games for the Bulldogs as he made 37 receptions for 307 yards for an average of 8.3 yards per reception, with 3 TDs, and QB rating when targeted of 94.5.
As a sophomore in 2021 he played 11 games and had 35 catches for 442 yards for an average of 12.6 yards per catch, with 5 TDs, and an elite QB rating when targeted of 115.4.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- Heath runs precise routes, showing an innate feel for setting up defensive backs to create separation.
- A versatile weapon, proving to be effective inside in the slot and outside on the perimeter. Makes plays at all levels of the field.
- Heath has strong hands and is extremely competitive, and Heath has an innate sense of timing when it comes to elevating and high-pointing balls.
- Has the strong hands any NFL wide receiver coach and quarterback would covet. Tracks the deep ball over either shoulder and brings in passes fluidly without breaking stride downfield.
- Has a knack for getting open and is a quarterback's best friend - passers just need to toss the ball in his area and he'll come down with it.
- Does not have elite speed to separate after his release but uses strength to get a half-step on defensive backs.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- He’s not a guy who will take the top off of a defense. While his hands are reliable, he’s not a contested-catch guy downfield.
- Physically, Heath profiles as a guy who should have success facing the quarterback, but he struggles to gear down and make the necessary sharp cuts to create separation underneath.
- And along with less-than-ideal size, his playing speed is good but well below the elite level.
