Draft Profile: Bio
Harrison Wallace III was a two-sport standout at Pike Road High School in Montgomery, Alabama, where he caught 27 passes for 696 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior and led his team to a 10-1 record. He earned First-Team All-Metro and All-State honors in Class 3A and drew a mixed bag of recruiting attention: a four-star rating from ESPN and Rivals, three stars from 247Sports.Penn State signed him in 2021, and he redshirted his first year before working into the rotation as a redshirt freshman in 2022 with 19 catches for 273 yards and a touchdown across 13 games. His role expanded significantly in 2024, when he started all 15 games and finished with 46 receptions for 723 yards and four scores during the Nittany Lions' run to the College Football Playoff semifinal.
Wallace transferred to Ole Miss in January 2025 and posted career highs in Lane Kiffin's up-tempo offense: 61 catches for 934 yards and four touchdowns. He was named to the Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list and earned a Senior Bowl Top-300 selection. Across five college seasons, Wallace totaled 145 receptions for 2,155 yards and 10 touchdowns in 52 games.

- Takes care of the football. You almost never see him put the ball on the ground after the catch.
- Shows no hesitation working into traffic, climbs the ladder well, and competes hard on 50/50 balls.
- Operated in a brand-new offense at Ole Miss after a coaching shakeup and never looked lost or tentative.
- Finds soft spots in zone coverage quickly and works back toward his quarterback's throwing lane.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Thin frame gets bullied in press-man; bigger corners re-route him off his stem with ease.
- Route tree looks limited on tape, mostly vertical stems with rounded, drifty breaks underneath.
- Loses too many contested reps for a receiver who will be asked to win on the boundary.
- Speed is only average for the position, which undercuts his value as a pure vertical threat.
- Never lined up inside in college, leaving real questions about whether he can work from the slot.
- Disappears as a run blocker, rarely initiating contact and giving up on reps early.

Scouting Report: Summary
Wallace's value at the next level comes down to whether a coaching staff believes they can scheme him open often enough to justify a roster spot. He does not separate consistently with route craft, and his speed, while functional, is not the kind of top-end burner gear that forces a safety to cheat every snap. What he does well is track the ball downfield, compete at the catch point, and sit in zone windows with good feel. Those are real skills, but they come attached to a player who needs help getting off the line and has a limited route menu to work with.The most natural home for Wallace is as a Z receiver in an offense that uses play-action and movement to create easy releases. Bunch formations, stacked alignments, and pre-snap motion would mask his struggles against press and let him get into his routes clean. When he has a free release and room to work downfield, you can see the player on tape: he high-points the ball well, competes through contact at the catch point, and his hands have improved each year. The Ole Miss film showed a receiver who looked more comfortable and confident than anything he put on tape at Penn State, which speaks to what the right system can do for him.
The ceiling here is a useful fourth or fifth receiver who can stretch the field enough to keep a defense honest vertically and contribute on special teams. The floor is a camp body. Wallace will need a patient staff willing to develop his release package and intermediate game, because right now he is a one-dimensional outside receiver with average speed trying to make a roster in a league full of them. The tools to grow are there, but the margin for error is thin.
