Scouting Report: Strengths
- Jenkins runs precise routes, showing an innate feel for setting up defensive backs to create separation.
- Has good body strength to squirm out of tackles with the coordination to maneuver his frame between defenders.
- Has a knack for getting open and is a quarterback's best friend - passers just need to toss the ball in his area and he'll come down with it.
- He accelerates quickly and possesses good straight-line speed. He shows solid ball-tracking skills and body control downfield, able to adjust to the off-target throw.
- He’s very good in contested-catch situations, using his frame effectively to make plays facing the quarterback. Jenkins also shows a knack for high-pointing the ball, consistently outmuscling defensive backs.
- Has a tall frame and long arms, plus strong hands, giving him a huge catch radius.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Does not have elite speed to burn by defenders. Does not drop his hips to get in position while blocking and fails to take correct angles to his man.
- Physically, Jenkins profiles as a guy who should have success facing the quarterback, but he struggles to gear down and make the necessary sharp cuts to create separation underneath.
- Jenkins also lacks suddenness as a route runner, and that is a potential issue at the next level.
