Draft Profile: Bio
Trey Holly from Union Parish High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Holly joined LSU.In 2023 as a freshman Holly saw action in just 3 games for the Tigers as he ran for just 110 yards on 11 attempts for an outstanding 10.0 yards per carry, with one TD, with no fumbles. As a receiver he made just one reception for 5 yards.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- A balanced runner with good combination of wiggle and lower body strength. Possesses above average initial burst with natural explosion and start-and- stop ability to make guys miss - can turn on the jets in a flash.
- Holly shows good vision and good explosion upfield once Holly plants his foot. He has lateral movement skills and enough speed to threaten big plays. He’s excellent in the passing game, capable of flexing out as a receiver and creating mismatches against linebackers, and he’s a solid back in the screen game.
- He’s outstanding as a receiver, with good hands and the coordination to snatch away from his body and fluidly transition to a runner.
- An instinctive runner, he has a knack for setting up defenders and making people miss in space. He’s at his best in space and on the perimeter, where he shows the balance and acceleration, plus pure speed, to make a move and then take off.
- He has outstanding lateral agility; his jump cuts combined with stop-start ability make him difficult to get a hold of.
- He’s capable as a receiver, a weapon on swing passes and in the screen game.
- Holly has very good vision and a knack for picking out cut-back lanes and then breaking offchunks of yardage.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Has a lean frame and lacks ideal bulk or muscle for the position. Doesn't have great strength, lacking a power element to his game to break many tackles.
- Holly does most of his work on the perimeter — and ran a lot of fly sweeps
- Holly doesn’t have the ability as a run blocker or the violent run-after-catch ability.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
